Judith is
an editor and writer whose background includes writing feature articles
for national magazines and daily newspapers coast-to-coast, editing for
Internet technology companies, and writing or editing for medical technology,
treatment and research organizations, as well as national health agencies

She
completed Stanford University School of Medicine's Medical Informatics
Short Course and their medical library's training in EndNote software
for searching MEDLINE, plus the medical editing classes from Editcetera
in Berkeley and the Editorial Freelancers Association in New York City.
She's also enrolled in medical writing and editing courses in the American
Medical Writers Association's multidisciplinary certification program.
As you can tell, she believes in continuing
education to update and hone skills and knowledge in her specialties.
She has worked
on staff for the American Red Cross, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and the
American Cancer Society and currently works as a contractor for several
health- or tech-related companies. She was a freelance journalist for
nearly 20 years, writing for national magazines and daily newspapers coast-to-coast
and Web sites (websites). For the last decade, she has edited technical
documentation and marketing copy for several well-known Internet and medical

Judith is
the author of The Woman's Guide
to Online Services (McGraw-Hill, 1995), as well as chapters
in three books for writers, and has taught magazine writing for
The New School, in New York City, and the University of California, Santa
Cruz. She has B.A. and nearly two years of graduate work in
psychology and has won awards from United Way, IABC,
PRSA and other professional associations.
In addition
to her volunteer work as a local disaster relief worker. Judith has served
on the board and chaired the Web
Content special-interest group (SIG) of the Silicon Valley

research for medical informatics and related technology, healthcare, health
