Ergonomics
Judith developed,
researched and edited the initial issues of Ergovera
Ergonomic Consulting's newsletter on the latest studies in ergonomics
and has copyedited numerous ergonomics evaluation reports, marketing materials
and Web site pages for Ergovera. She has also done copyediting for the
Oxford Research Institute, which certifies ergonomists and human factors
engineers.
She subscribes
to the Journal of Occupational Health Psychology and the
E-PsycSCAN: Applied Psychology online research service, which compiles
journal reports on accidents and safety, human factors, ergonomics and
management and organizational psychology. In November 2002, she expanded
her knowledge in this field by taking the Emerging Workplace Safety
and Legal Issues workshop at the American Medical Writers Association
(AMWA) annual conference.
After learning
the value of ergonomic work methods, furniture and equipment the slow,
painful way, she completely redid her own office
ergonomically in 2000.
